1. Open-Source License
Assrt is released under the MIT License. You are free to use, copy, modify, merge, publish, distribute, sublicense, and sell copies of the software, subject to the following conditions:
- The above copyright notice and permission notice shall be included in all copies or substantial portions of the software.
- The software is provided "as is", without warranty of any kind, express or implied.

2. Cloud Service Terms
The optional Assrt Cloud service is subject to additional terms. By using Assrt Cloud, you agree to the following:
- You must provide accurate account information and keep your credentials secure.
- We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.
- Cloud service availability is provided on a best-effort basis. We aim for high uptime but do not guarantee uninterrupted service.
- Your data stored in Assrt Cloud remains yours. We do not claim ownership of any content you upload or generate.
- You may export or delete your data at any time through the dashboard or by contacting support.
3. Acceptable Use
When using Assrt or Assrt Cloud, you agree not to:
- Use the service to conduct illegal activities or violate any applicable laws or regulations.
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to other users' accounts, data, or systems.
- Distribute malware, viruses, or any other harmful code through the service.
- Use the service to test or attack systems you do not own or have explicit permission to test.
- Resell or redistribute the Cloud service without prior written consent.
4. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law:
- Assrt and its contributors shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the software or service.
- Our total liability for any claims related to the Cloud service shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.
- We are not responsible for any damages resulting from third-party integrations, APIs, or services used in conjunction with Assrt.
The open-source software is provided without any warranty. Use it at your own risk.
5. Modifications to Terms
We reserve the right to modify these terms at any time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated revision date. For Cloud service users, we will provide at least 30 days notice of any material changes via email. Continued use of the service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
6. Governing Law
These terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Delaware, United States, without regard to conflict of law provisions.
