Assrt ("we", "us", "our") is an open-source AI testing framework. We are committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights regarding that data.

Data Collection

We collect minimal data, limited to anonymous analytics through PostHog. This includes:

• Page views and navigation patterns on our website
• Anonymized usage metrics (e.g., feature adoption, session duration)
• Browser type and operating system (no fingerprinting)
• Approximate geographic region (country level only)

We do not collect personally identifiable information unless you voluntarily provide it (for example, by contacting us via email).

Open-Source and Local Execution

Assrt is open-source software that runs locally on your machine. Your test code, application code, and test results never leave your environment unless you explicitly configure a cloud integration. We have no access to your codebase, test outputs, or any data processed by the CLI tool.

No Sale of Personal Data

We do not sell, rent, or trade any personal data to third parties. The anonymous analytics data we collect is used solely to improve Assrt and understand how our website and documentation are used.

Cookies

Our website uses cookies only for PostHog analytics. These cookies help us understand aggregate traffic patterns and improve the user experience. We do not use advertising cookies or third-party tracking cookies. You can disable cookies in your browser settings at any time without affecting your ability to use Assrt.

Cloud Service

If you use the optional Assrt Cloud service, we collect the minimum data necessary to provide the service, including your email address and team configuration. Cloud data is encrypted at rest and in transit. You can delete your account and all associated data at any time.

Data Retention

Analytics data is retained for 12 months, after which it is automatically deleted. Cloud service data is retained for the duration of your account and deleted within 30 days of account closure.

Your Rights

You have the right to request access to, correction of, or deletion of any personal data we hold about you. You can opt out of analytics tracking at any time by using a browser extension that blocks PostHog, or by enabling Do Not Track in your browser settings.
